(PatriotWise.com) — A 911 call regarding the Louisville shooting that resulted in five deaths has just been released. The call was made by the shooter’s mother, who warned police that her son was armed and was going to Old National Bank, according to The Daily Mail.
The 25-year-old Connor Sturgeon headed to the bank after he was told that he would be let go. He proceeded to shoot and kill five and injured eight others. He continued to fire his AR-15-style weapon while live-streaming his attack when police arrived. After exchanging fire, Sturgeon was killed. Among those injured was a police officer who was shot in the head. He is currently in critical condition.
Connor’s mother, identified as Lisa, made the call to 911 warning the police of what he was doing. But she also told them that he was not violent and was a good kid. She pleaded that they do not hurt him. But her call was made after others had phoned in about the shooting. Lisa told the operator that she was informed by her son’s roommate what was going on.
The operator proceeded to ask if she knew that he had any weapons, but Lisa said that she knows Connor did not own any weapons and was not sure how he would have gotten them before suggesting that it might have been from his girlfriend. She told the operator that she was headed to the bank, but the operator told her not to go to the location because it was not safe, and that officers were already there after they received multiple calls.
The call was made at 8:41 a.m. and was made at the same time that officers arrived at the scene. One employee was reportedly hiding in a closet as she called the police while gunshots could be heard in the background.
