Pro-abortion Democrats rushed to link a terrible school shooting to abortion, using pro-life arguments to argue that Republicans are unconcerned about children’s safety.
Following the news that a shooter opened fire on a Texas elementary school, killing at least 21 people, including 19 children, politicians began to link the tragedy to the potential overturning of Roe v. Wade.
On Wednesday, Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez tweeted that there is no such thing as being ‘pro-life’ while supporting laws that allow children to be shot in their schools, elders in grocery stores, worshippers in their houses of faith, survivors by abusers, or anyone in a crowded place.
“It is an idolatry of violence, and it has to come to an end,” she tweeted.
Republicans, according to Ocasio-Cortez and many other pro-abortion Democrats, must support gun control legislation to be authentically pro-life.
Democratic Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth tweeted that you are not ‘pro-life’ if you choose to do “absolutely nothing” to save children from gun murder, Black and Brown mothers from maternal mortality, Americans from domestic terrorism, or ANY OTHER FORM of avoidable crises.
Florida Democratic senatorial candidate Allen Ellison said that she doesn’t want to hear Pro-Life arguments when you care more about your firearms than our children’s lives.
They all seemed to have received the memo because one parroted the other, and so on and so on. The “Hive-Mind” was strong.
California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom said that the Republican Party is concerned with forcing women to give birth but doesn’t care if our children are gunned down in school,”
The women of ABC’s “The View” were able to link the school massacres to Republican leaders and conservative Supreme Court judges.
“Stop using weapons to abort young lives,” Whoopi Goldberg, co-host of The View, said during a segment mocking Texas abortion restrictions and calling for individuals to be “deputized” to report neighbors with excessive firearms.
Goldberg sarcastically said she would like to applaud Governor Abbott for signing 22 legislation this year that makes it easier for mass shooters to acquire, carry, and possess weapons in his state.
The argument is weak. Lots of people who support abortions get abortions. People who support gun rights are most likely not murderers.
