Boris Johnson Reveals How He Was Threatened

(PatriotWise.com) – England’s former Prime Minister Boris Johnson revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened to murder him with a missile strike during a phone call, according to Newsmax. The phone call reportedly took place before Putin began his “special military campaign” against Ukraine.

Johnson, who is a fierce supporter of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, made the comments in a new three-part BBC documentary series, “Putin vs. The West,” which followed the former prime minister on his trip to Kyiv in February 2022 to signal to Putin that there will be consequences if he invades.

Putin allegedly told Johnson that he had previously stated that “Ukraine is not going to join NATO anytime soon” and asked, “what is ‘anytime soon’?” Johnson then claimed that Putin knew what it meant and recalled that after that, Putin had threatened him, saying that he doesn’t want to hurt him, but he will kill him with a missile and “it would only take a minute.”

Noting the Russian president’s calm tone, Johnson said that he thinks Putin might have been “playing along” with their negotiations.

The comments come as the war in Ukraine escalates. Russian President Vladimir Putin is ordering that “correctional colonies” and “correctional centers” be built in the four Ukrainian territories that he illegally annexed last year, according to a report by the defense and national security website 19FortyFive.

At the same time, the chairman of NATO’s Military Committee, Rob Bauer, reportedly announced that the alliance is ready for a confrontation with Russia if the country decides that it will invade a NATO country. Bauer dismissed the idea that Ukraine wanting to keep its territories is going to escalate the war, reiterating that the escalation lies in Russia’s aggression.

Bauer also claimed that even if the war in Ukraine ends and Russian forces are defeated, Russia will still be a threat to NATO.
