(PatriotWise.com)- After the FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort last Monday, the state-run Global Times in China wasted no time using the raid to further gin up partisan division in the United States, claiming that the raid could lead to another January 6-type riot.
It is the purpose of Chinese state propaganda to foment division in the United States. They did the same thing during the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots.
An America torn apart by internal strife works in Beijing’s favor, and the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago proved too big a target for the state-run Global Times to resist.
In a column last week, the Global Times tried to stir up trouble by claiming the Mar-a-Lago raid was a political operation by the Democrat Party and proof of the ongoing “partisan struggle” in the United States.
It quoted so-called “Chinese experts” who suggested that America’s democratic system was so dysfunctional that the midterm election and the 2024 presidential election will likely see a repeat of the January 6 riot.
The column said experts believe Joe Biden is struggling diplomatically in large part over Speaker Pelosi’s recent visit to Taiwan. It also claimed that the entire “international community is watching in despair and confusion” over how troubled the United States is.
It claimed Democrats were going to “lose badly” in November and when they do, Republicans “will seek revenge” when they take power, adding that Hunter Biden will likely be a target of that revenge.
The Global Times then quoted an “expert on US studies” from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences who claimed that raiding Trump’s home is a surprising twist in the Democrat Party’s campaign against Trump.
The expert, Lü Xiang, said the other efforts, namely linking Trump to the January 6 riot and New York’s investigation into the Trump Organization, have only had limited progress.
