Dana White, CEO of UFC, Claims That Americans “Should Be Drinking Gallons of Bud Light”

(PatriotWise.com) — UFC President Dana White on Monday defended the UFC’s decision to partner with Bud Light despite the ongoing boycott that began this spring over the former beer giant’s partnership with transgender “influencer” Dylan Mulvaney, Mediaite reported.

When White announced in October that Bud Light would return as the UFC’s official beer, the decision was blasted by conservatives and UFC fans. White defended the decision in a statement, saying that Bud Light’s and the UFC’s “core values” were aligned.

Appearing on “The Tucker Carlson Interview” on Monday, White reaffirmed that message, telling host Tucker Carlson that those who claim to be patriots “should be drinking gallons of Bud Light.”

The sarcastic Carlson pretended to be shocked, joking that he should be boycotting the product. But White dismissed Carlson’s feigned outrage by repeating, “Gallons of Bud Light.” He added that people should have drums of Bud Light stacked in their garages to drink “right out of the keg.”

White argued that Bud Light is more aligned with Americans than most other beer companies. He said that as someone who does a lot of business with beer companies, he knows that Bud Light is much more aligned with Americans than the other companies.

While White admitted that the UFC has received pushback over its decision to partner with Bud Light, he told Carlson that he wasn’t discouraged. He explained that he knows he is “on the right side of this.”

The side White is on is the side that is worth more than $100 million, which is what Bud Light is paying the UFC, making the partnership with Bud Light the UFC’s largest sponsorship deal in history.

Bud Light is owned by Annheuser-Busch InBev, which is headquartered in Belgium.
