Democrat State Senator Arrested After Reportedly Punching Woman

( Here’s a story the Democrats probably don’t want you to know about…a Democrat state senator was arrested over the weekend for punching a woman square in the face in a restaurant on Saturday night.

The party of equal rights, huh?

Darius J. Brown, 39, allegedly got into a heated argument with a woman at the Taverna Rustic Italian restaurant in Delaware over the weekend. The argument got so heated that Brown punched the woman in the side of her face and then threw a glass of water at her.

Delaware Online reported how Brown was charged with disorderly conduct and offensive touching at the Talleyville restaurant. The outlet described how the Delaware State Police were called to the venue at roughly 6:30 p.m. over a “domestic altercation.” Police said that when they arrived, a 44-year-old woman described how she was arguing with the state senator about a social media post when he decided to punch her in the face.

The glass he allegedly threw at the women also shattered into pieces.

State Senator Brown reportedly left the scene by the time the police officers arrived, and the women suffered redness to her face. Thankfully she did not require medical attention.

Brown is a fairly well established Democrat in Delaware. He previously served as a councilman for Wilmington – home to President Joe Biden – and has served as a District 2 senator since he was elected in 2018.

Ironically, Brown is one of the biggest supporters of criminal justice reform – something that would presumably help people who decide to punch women in the face.

In 2019, Brown voted in favor of a bill that would increase the number of offenses that can be expunged after a period of time.

He was also previously the focus of a tax scandal when it was revealed that he owed $50,803 in unpaid taxes from 2012 to 2016.
