Donald Trump’s Valet Turns Snitch On Him
(PatriotWise.com) – The Washington Post reported in mid-October that a Navy veteran who worked as a valet in the Trump White House before following the former president to Mar-a-Lago is a key witness in the Justice Department’s ongoing investigation into Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents.
According to “people familiar with the matter,” former White House valet Walt Nauta admitted to investigators that he moved the boxes containing documents at the request of former president Trump. His allegations have been corroborated by security footage, the anonymous sources claim.
Nauta, 39, served as a valet in the Oval Office suite during the Trump administration. According to former White House staffers, he later followed Trump to Florida where he worked as a personal aide at Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago.
The “people familiar” told the Post that Nauta’s account has given investigators “key evidence of Trump’s behavior” as they investigate him for obstruction, destruction of government records, and mishandling classified information.
According to the Post, Nauta initially denied having any role in moving the boxes when he was first interviewed by FBI agents. But once investigators began gathering more evidence, they questioned Nauta again and in his second interview, Nauta “told a starkly different story,” namely that Trump instructed him to move the boxes.
Neither Nauta nor his attorney responded to the Post’s request for comment.
Trump’s spokesman Taylor Budowich initially refused to answer the Post’s questions about the claims. Instead, he accused the Biden administration of weaponizing law enforcement to fabricate “a Document Hoax in a desperate attempt to retain political power.”
Later, when asked about Nauta’s revised account to the FBI, Budowich side-stepped the issue, instead questioning the legality of the FBI’s search of Mar-a-Lago. He accused the Biden administration of “colluding with the media” by using targeted leaks “in an overt and illegal act of intimidation and tampering.”
