(PatriotWise.com)- Elon Musk has stated that in the future elections, he will change sides and vote for Republicans.
Appearing on an episode of the All-In Podcast at a Miami tech conference,
Musk said on Monday that he would vote for Republican candidates in the upcoming election season after previously mainly supporting Democratic politicians.
Musk explained his position, saying historically, he had voted disproportionately in favor of Democrats. He may or may not have voted for a Republican in the past, but he will do it this election. The audience erupted in laughter and applause in response to the CEO’s comments.
According to the show, Musk’s issue with the Democrat Party is that it is unduly controlled by labor unions and trial attorneys, particularly class-action lawyers. And in general, if you see something on the Democrat side that isn’t in the best interests of the people, it will be because of unions, which are simply another sort of monopoly. That includes trial lawyers, he explained.
Elon Musk stated that he does not consider himself right-wing but rather a moderate. He then continued to complain about Republicans. He chastised them for stalled progress due to ‘corporate evil’ and religious zealotry.
Musk has seldom if ever, voted for Republicans, according to his own statements, but he has frequently endorsed unusual candidates. In the Democrat presidential primary in 2019, Musk declared his support for outsider Andrew Yang, according to news reports.
Musk has remained in the news in recent weeks as he pursues his proposed acquisition of the Twitter social media network. He intends to provide freedom of expression and make a substantial attempt to offset the platform’s apparent very far-left slant, according to media.
Elon Musk announced that he would reinstate former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account if his purchase of the social media platform went through. Musk claims Twitter was wrong to ban Trump’s account permanently and that once his ownership of the company is finalized, he would reverse the ban.
