(TheFreedomFlag.com)- Benjamin Keough, the son of Lisa Marie Presley and the grandson of Elvis Presley has died at the young age of 27. Roger Widynowski, a representative of the Presleys, told The Associated Press on Sunday that Lisa Marie was “heartbroken” to learn of her son’s death.
According to TMZ, Keough died of a gunshot wound that was self-inflicted. It indicates that he killed himself in Calabasas, California.
“She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter, Riley,” Widynowski announced. “She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office confirmed the death of a person who fits the same age and description as Keough, and said the death was under investigation, but few details about the death are available at this early stage.
Keough was the youngest child of Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keough, her first husband. The pair divorced in 1994. He other child is Riley Keough, a 31-year-old actor.
Lisa Marie talked about her son’s resemblance to her father, Elvis Pressley, in previous interviews. She has twin daughters, 11 years old, who she had with her fourth husband, Michael Lockwood. The pair got married in 2006 after she was briefly married to Michael Jackson and then to Nicholas Cage.
Her son Benjamin inspired the title track of an album she produced, Storm and Grace, because his middle name was “Storm.”
