FBI Agent Arrested For Crimes Involving Children

(PatriotWise.com)- An FBI agent who was assigned to investigate multiple crimes against children has reportedly been arrested for committing a number of sex crimes himself across three states. The sex crimes allegedly involve children.

Louisiana native David Harris was reportedly arrested earlier in the summer on charges of assaulting victims going back to 2016. The news was revealed by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and was widely reported in the local media at the time.

He is also facing additional charges for allegedly targeting a girl in St. George Island, Florida, while he was enjoying a vacation in Florida.

What makes this crime so egregious, beyond the obviously horrific fact that this man chose to victimize women and children, was the fact that he was entrusted by the FBI to investigate crimes just like this. During the multiple investigations into his criminal activity he was quickly fired by the FBI.

Franklin County Sheriff A.J. Smith announced on Thursday that an arrest warrant was issued for Harris over allegations that were first reported to their office in February of this year.

The Sheriff’s Office said that they had learned Harris came to St. George Island on vacation with his friends and family in July 2019, and during this time he “exposed his genitalia in a lewd and lascivious manner” to a girl who was only 14 years old at the time…not that doing this to anybody of any age is ever appropriate without consent.

Evidence was then obtained by investigators that revealed other sex crime allegations against him across five local jurisdictions, with many of them in Louisiana.

Texas Rangers and the Louisiana State Police worked together on a task force to investigate the FBI agent, who graduated from West Point and even served as a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, and he is now thankfully being held without bond.
