FBI Reportedly Held Children At Gunpoint
(PatriotWise.com) – Tennessee pro-life leader Paul Vaughn was one of eleven pro-life activists who were arrested by armed FBI agents for “civil rights conspiracy” and violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act) for praying outside of a Nashville-area abortion clinic in early March 2021.
According to the federal indictment, Vaughn and ten other pro-life activists “engaged in a conspiracy” to prevent the clinic from providing abortions and patients from “receiving abortion services.” The indictment said the defendants violated the FACE Act by “using physical obstruction to intimidate and interfere” with clinic employees and a patient.
If Vaughn is convicted, he faces up to 11 years in prison, plus fines of up to $350,000.
Last week, Townhall, released exclusive footage of the FBI raid on Vaughn’s home.
Vaughn described to Townhall the details of his arrest which took place just before he was leaving to take his children to school.
According to Vaughn, he was handcuffed on the front porch as his children looked on.
The agents who raided the Vaughn home were carrying both assault rifles and side arms. According to Vaughn’s wife, the FBI “traumatized me and my children intentionally.” She told Townhall the family “will never forget this.”
The FBI agents refused to answer the Vaughns’ questions, nor did they identify themselves or present a warrant. When Mrs. Vaughn asked where they were taking her husband, the agents refused to answer her.
Vaughn told Townhall that the family received no official information about the reason for the raid or his whereabouts until six hours later. He was brought before a judge and charged, then he was released about 60 miles away from his home without a wallet or cell phone.
Vaughn, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, is currently searching for the right lawyers to fight the charges “to the fullest.”
In his statement to Townhall, Vaughn blasted the “out-of-control” Department of Justice and said it must be “reined in immediately.” He said there was no reason for the FBI agents’ “abusive and excessive show of force.”
