FBI Official May Get Indicted Amid John Durham Probe

(PatriotWise.com)- It looks like we’re finally hearing about the results of the John Durham investigation into the origins of the FBI investigation of former President Donald Trump.

Durham was appointed by former United States Attorney General William Barr as the special counsel to investigate the origins of the investigation after it was revealed that there was no evidence to support claims that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia.

Ever since Trump left the White House, he and other high-profile conservatives have been highly critical of the lack of communication from Durham about the progress of the investigation, which is expected to reveal the people responsible for spreading misinformation about the Trump campaign. And now, we’re finally hearing the results.

Durham told the Justice Department that he plans to ask a grand jury to indict a cybersecurity attorney on charges of making false statements to the FBI.

Michael Sussmann is the lawyer in question who previously worked as a federal prosecutor. He also represented the Democratic National Committee as an attorney following claims that Russia had hacked the group’s servers during the 2016 election campaign.

Sean Berkowitz and Michael Bosworth, attorneys representing Sussmann, claimed that he had committed no crime and if he is charged, he will “prevail at trial and vindicate his good name.”

Really? Special counsels don’t make baseless recommendations.

Making baseless claims is a Democrat thing.

Sussmann stands accused of lying to an FBI lawyer in September 2016 when he relayed an analysis of strange Internet data by cybersecurity experts that he said showed evidence that there was a covert communication channel between the Trump 2016 campaign and a Russian bank linked to the Russian government. Durham alleges that the claims made during this interview were false, resulting in FBI officials believing it was responsible to conduct an investigation into the matter.

Eventually, though, the FBI realized that the claims had no merit.

If Sussmann hadn’t made those claims, would there have even been an investigation into Trump at all?

And if he purposely lied, was it to help the Democratic National Committee?
