FBI Reportedly Doctored Numbers To Play Up Threat

(PatriotWise.com)- FBI officials allegedly pressure agents to label cases as “domestic violent extremism” despite minimal proof that they do.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, wrote to FBI Director Christopher Wray on Wednesday claiming FBI whistleblowers believe the bureau is “padding domestic terrorist statistics” to make the danger seem worse than it is. Jordan said that the FBI misclassifies cases as owing to DVEs to bolster an administration “narrative” about the threat, Jordan said.

Jordan said that in recent protected disclosures, they found that FBI leadership is encouraging agents to categorize cases as ‘domestic violent extremism’ even if the cases don’t satisfy the standards for such a classification. Given the Biden administration’s claim that domestic violent extremism is our country’s “biggest threat,” Jordan concluded that the FBI might be inflating domestic terrorism data.

It seems the FBI agents are inflating DVE cases to please their bosses. One whistleblower said that because agents aren’t discovering enough DVE instances, they are urged and rewarded to reclassify cases as DVE despite scant circumstantial evidence to justify the reclassification.

Jordan said that the agency pays agents who file DVE cases.

A whistleblower who oversaw a high-profile domestic terrorism investigation said a field office assistant special agent in charge and the FBI’s director of the counterterrorism division urged agents to shift cases into the DVE category to achieve self-created performance standards.

According to whistleblowers, the FBI utilizes these criteria to honor and promote employees. Every FBI whistleblower describes a “pressured” situation.

Wray said the DVE danger is the biggest in the US. Last year, the FBI director told Congress that the 2020 election was fueling the threat and that DVE events might increase because of radicalization.

In the future, DVEs offer an enhanced threat of violence to the U.S., and some have been encouraged by the Capitol break. We predict racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, anti-government or anti-authority violent extremists, and other DVEs to pose the most significant domestic terrorist risks in 2021 and 2022, Wray told Congress in June 2021.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) said in a letter to the DOJ and FBI that bureau agents and officials downplayed evidence of Hunter Biden’s misbehavior as misinformation. They are too busy ginning up their chosen narrative.

It’s criminal behavior in the DOJ.
