Fox News Hires Caitlyn Jenner

(PatriotWise.com)- Caitlyn Jenner has signed a new deal with Fox News, where she will serve as a contributor to the network.

In a statement Fox News released to announce the move, the media company said:

“Jenner, a television personality, Olympic gold medalist, motivational speaker, entrepreneur and former California gubernatorial candidate, will offer commentary and analysis across FOX News Channel programming and various FOX News Media platforms.”

One place where Jenner will appear is Thursday nights on the “Hannity” program.

Jenner is transgender. She was born a male but now identifies as a woman. She has taken some hardline stances on hot-button political issues such as transgender athletes playing on teams with other biological women and girls — which she is now opposed to.

In January, while appearing on Fox News, Jenner said about the issue:

“Biological boys, I’ve said from the beginning, should not be playing in women’s sports. We need to protect women’s sports. Obviously, this is about Lia Thomas, who has brought a lot of attention to this issue.

“First of all, I respect her decision to live her life authentically — 100% — but it also comes with responsibility and some integrity.”

Thomas has brought a lot of national attention to the issue. Thomas, who was born male but now identifies as a female, is an accomplished swimmer for the University of Pennsylvania’s women’s swim team. She competed on the women’s team this year after three years of competing on the men’s team.

While she supported Thomas’ plight in life as a transgender woman, Jenner was not very supportive of her athletic choices. She said of Thomas:

“I don’t know why she’s doing it. She knows when she’s swimming, she’s beating the competition by two laps. She was born a biological boy. She was raised as a biological boy. Her cardiovascular system is bigger, her respiratory system is bigger, her hands are bigger, she can swim faster. That’s a known.

“All of this woke world that we’re living in right now is not working. I feel sorry for the other athletes that are out there, especially at Penn or anybody she’s competing against, because in the woke world, you have to say, ‘Oh, my gosh, this is great,’ and on and on and on.

“No, it’s not. We need to protect women’s sports, and the NCAA needs to make the right decision tomorrow, and I think that is probably to stop this right now. Rethink it.”

Many Republican-led states have put forth bills that would prevent transgender athletes from competing on teams that don’t align with the gender they were assigned at birth. The NCAA has not taken action on such a measure that would affect all collegiate athletes nationwide.

Jenner has attracted much attention in her life — first as an Olympic gold medalist, then as a reality TV personality, then as a very public transgender woman and then as a staunch conservative political hopeful.

Now, she’ll add Fox News correspondent to her resume.
