Governor BANS IT – Thank Goodness!

( Doug Ducey, the Republican Governor of Arizona, is clawing back a little support among the party after he signed a new bill that bans the teaching of Critical Race Theory in schools across the state.

Ducey caused controversy following the 2020 presidential election after refusing to work with former President Donald Trump to secure election integrity and fight back against fraud, but by signing this bill, he appears to be indicating that he hasn’t completely abandoned his base.

Time will tell whether his base has abandoned him…

House Bill 2898 will fine schools up to $5,000 for teaching students that one race, group, or sex is superior to another and should be discriminated against on that basis. It means that racism of any kind, whether towards White or Black Americans, will not be tolerated – and while it was not tolerated in schools previously, the new legislation means that White children cannot be targeted with racial abuse under the guise of “anti-racism.”

A statement issued by Ducey’s office also revealed that House Bill 2906 had been signed, and that it stops the state and local governments from requiring their employees to engage in any “orientation, training or therapy that suggest an employee is inherently racist, sexist or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously.”

Ducey said that when he took office he vowed to use taxpayer money responsibly and that spending taxpayer money on “political commentary” is not responsible.

He said he would not waste public dollars on classes that “imply the superiority of any race and hinder free speech.”

The move was welcomed by state Rep. Michelle Udall, Republican, who slammed CRT as increasing “divisiveness” in Arizona communities.

It’s only a matter of time, of course, before Arizona Democrats kick up a fuss and claim that this anti-racist legislation is somehow racist…
