(PatriotWise.com) — Last week, the Department of Justice indicted former President Donald Trump on 37 counts related to the classified documents he took from the White House upon leaving office, including 31 counts of “Willful Retention of National Defense Information” and 6 additional counts including obstruction and making false statements.
The indictment, which was unsealed on Friday, was filed in the US District Court of the Southern District of Florida in Miami.
In response to the news, former Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton decided to ding the former president by once again flogging her “But Her Emails” merchandise on Twitter as a reminder that she got away with doing nearly the same thing.
In a tweet last Friday, Clinton, who was spared the same fate after former FBI Director James Comey announced that he would not recommend charges over her mishandling of classified documents, posted a Photoshopped image of her younger self wearing a “But Her Emails” baseball hat, adding, “Bringing this back in light of recent news.”
This isn’t the first time Hillary has plugged her “I Got Away With It” swag.
In her book “Confidence Man,” New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman claimed that staffers from the White House residence routinely found ripped-up documents in the toilet which they believe were left there after then-President Trump attempted to flush them. Haberman’s book included photos showing ripped-up documents in a toilet, according to an August 2022 report in Axios.
In response to Haberman’s revelations, Hillary again promoted her “But Her Emails” hats on Instagram.
Trump was scheduled to be arraigned in the Miami federal courthouse on Tuesday.
Special Counsel Jack Smith is also looking into Trump’s involvement in the January 6 Capitol Riot. So far no indictment has been filed in that case.
Additionally, Trump could be facing racketeering charges in Georgia in the investigation led by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. Willis recently said that she expects to announce charges in August.
