(PatriotWise.com) — Saturday Night Live alum Jon Lovitz caused a stir on social media over the weekend when he cheered on Israel in its war against Hamas, saying, “Go Israel!!! Make Hummus out of Hamas!”
Go Israel!!!
Make Hummus out of Hamas!#IStandWithIsrael

Faced with angry pushback from some users, Lovitz doubled down saying he hoped Israel would kill every member of Hamas.
Yes. I hope they kill everyone in Hamas. Absolutely. Hamas wants to continue killing Jews and even their own Palestinian people. Pure evil.
Not that you were ever anyone or anything. At least you admit you're pro Hamas. https://t.co/AI8Y6LkUYb

As it stands, Israel has taken out multiple Hamas leaders since it formally declared war on the Iranian-backed terror group and continues to search for the two men it believes were the masterminds behind the October 7 attacks.
On Sunday, the IDF announced that senior Hamas commander Bilal al-Kedra had been killed in an airstrike Saturday night.
Later on Sunday, CBS reported that IDF airstrikes hit 250 Hamas targets primarily in northern Gaza, and among those killed was the commander of the Hamas Southern District of National Security Muetaz Eid.
Sunday’s airstrikes hit dozens of Hamas military headquarters, military observation posts, and rocket launching posts used by both Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
Ron Dermer, a member of Israel’s wartime cabinet, told CBS News on Monday that the two Hamas leaders who were likely behind the October 7 terrorist attacks are El Deif and Yahya Sinwar.
He said while Deif and Sinwar were specifically responsible, they had the financial and logistical backing of Tehran. Dermer said Iran supported the attacks with weapons, communication, training, and “political support.”
During an IDF press conference on Saturday, spokesman Lt. Col. Richard Hecht also named Yahya Sinwar as the mastermind. Describing Sinwar as “a dead man walking,” Hecht vowed that Israel “will get to that man.”
The death toll in Israel had risen to around 1,400 by Tuesday with another 3,500 wounded. Israeli officials said Hamas is holding nearly 200 hostages, including Israeli civilians and troops.
The US State Department confirmed that 30 Americans are among the dead while 13 remain unaccounted for.
