Kari Lake Says Punishment Is Coming For Anti-Trump GOP Leaders

(PatriotWise.com) – As the counting was still underway in Arizona, Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake boldly declared that those who attacked Donald Trump’s endorsements in the midterms would be eating their words once she and Arizona Republican Senate candidate Blake Masters end up winning.

Appearing on the Wilkow Majority on SiriusXM two days after the Midterms, Lake predicted that both she and Masters would “comfortably” win their races. She said while Blake Masters’ race might be tighter than hers, he “has a very, very, very good shot of winning, and they’re afraid.”

Lake said “they” want the narrative that Trump-endorsed candidates didn’t do well in the elections which is why “they” “slow-rolled” the election results. She said when she and Masters win, “they’re going to have to eat their words.”

Or maybe not.

The day after Lake’s prediction, the Senate race was called for Democrat incumbent Mark Kelly, who defeated Blake Masters, 51.4 percent to 46.5 percent.

Then, on Monday, November 14, the governor’s race was called for Democrat Katie Hobbs who defeated Kari Lake by a slim margin, 50.3 percent to 49.7 percent.

In a statement Monday night, Hobbs extended an olive branch to Arizonans who didn’t vote for her, telling them she would work just as hard for them as those who voted for her. She said her victory was about “moving this state forward and facing the challenges of our generation.”

In response to Hobbs being declared the winner, Lake tweeted, “Arizonans know BS when they see it.”

However, some Arizona pundits believe Lake’s razor-thin defeat was likely due to moderate Republicans and Independents abandoning Lake over her attacks on “McCain voters.”

One person who was delighted in Kari Lake’s defeat was the odious Liz Cheney.

In late October, after Liz Cheney’s PAC began running an ad urging Arizonans not to vote for Kari Lake, Lake released a statement on Twitter, thanking Liz for helping her raise campaign funds and adding “another 10 points to our lead.”

When Hobbs was declared the winner Monday night, Cheney quote-tweeted Lake’s October tweet, adding “You’re welcome, @KariLake.”

The Attorney General race is the only statewide race in Arizona that remains too close to call.
