Kevin McCarthy To Introduce Shocking Deal Involving Israel

( During the latest round of rocket attacks launched by Gaza in May, over four thousand rockets were fired into Israel. As a result, many in Congress would like to provide funding to Israel to help them replenish their Iron Dome missile system.

Last week, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy introduced an emergency funding bill to replenish Israel’s Iron Dome missiles after it was reported that Israel planned to request $1 billion from the Biden Administration for that purpose.

The bill would make $1 billion available to Israel for the next two years and is co-sponsored by Republicans Steve Scalise, Kay Granger, Mike Rogers and Michael McCaul. It was McCarthy’s intent to make a unanimous consent request on this bill.

Unfortunately, on July 1, House Democrats blocked the effort, refusing to even consider the emergency funding measure for debate.

McCarthy was not pleased.

In a tweet after the Democrats blocked the measure, McCarthy excoriated the Democrats who on the one hand will defend Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitic remarks, but on the other hand refuse to support a US ally whose Iron Dome system “saved countless lives in Israel from Hamas’ rocket attacks.”

In a statement on the House Minority Whip’s website, Steve Scalise also criticized Democrats for blocking the measure at a time when “a prominent member of their caucus” with a history of anti-Semitic remarks “refuses to apologize” for comparing Israel and the US to “two terrorist organizations.”

In the same interview where Ilhan Omar told Jake Tapper that she did not regret comparing the US and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban, Omar also attacked her Jewish colleagues in Congress. She accused them of not being “partners in justice,” claiming that they don’t “experience injustice” the ways she has.

And yet the Democrats haven’t said a word against it.

It is ironic that Democrat lawmakers, who never tired of claiming President Donald Trump “abandoned US allies,” have no trouble abandoning a US ally while defending the America-hating Omar.

Then again, House Democrats can’t bother with working for the American people let alone Israel. They’re too busy dragging out a three-hour melee at the Capitol to score partisan points.
