Lauren Boebert Says We Didn’t Ban Planes After 9/11 In Wake Of Mass Shootings

( Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) appeared on Hannity’s Fox News show to respond to mounting calls to modify federal gun restrictions in the aftermath of a mass shooting at a Texas elementary school. An 18-year-old shooter who had just acquired two weapons massacred 19 kids and two teachers.

Guest host Tammy Bruce inquired about the congresswoman’s reaction.
Bruce suggested people wanted to know where the Republicans and where Boebert’s thoughts were in terms of the next steps that may be taken to bring about meaningful change. Boebert began by expressing sympathies before declaring that gun-free zones are deadly and asserting that evil cannot be legislated away.

Boebert explained to Tammy Bruce that she wanted our schools to be safe. She wants teachers who can defend themselves and their pupils. She wants their students to be safe. She believes that can be accomplished without disarming law-abiding citizens. Her firearm is the equalizer for her. She said it’s a strategy to safeguard herself and her children. Her firearm serves as a defense tool.

The Colorado Representative then accused Democrats of exploiting the tragedy, calling it shameful. She chastised Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for delaying a Republican-sponsored school safety measure. Boebert had words with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on social media.

She also denounced Democrat Texas Governor candidate Beto O’Rourke for grandstanding and interrupting the Governor of Texas’ news conference on the school massacre.

According to reports, former failed senate candidate Beto O’Rourke had already alerted the media of his intentions to interrupt the presser to make a political speech pushing for a gun ban.

Boebert concluded her appearance on the show by stating that when 9/11 happened, we did not ban airplanes. Instead, we secured the cockpits.
Reports show that Boebert’s public persona includes her firearms and upholding second amendment rights. She owns the Shooters Grill restaurant in Rifle, Colorado, and has been featured in videos with firearms in the backdrop. She has also issued Christmas cards with her firearm-trained children holding guns.
