Man Pulls A Pistol On A Six-year-old Over Halloween Candy Gaffe

(PatriotWise.com) — A Long Island man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly pointed a gun at a young boy, whom police said inadvertently left a bag of candy meant for a friend on the man’s doorstep, NBC News reported.

According to police, the 6-year-old boy’s mother drove him and his 10-year-old sister to what she believed was the home of a friend who lived in Manhasset on Saturday.

The children jumped out of the car and rang the doorbell of the house before leaving a bag of candy on the porch and getting back into their mother’s car.

After driving away, the mother realized that they dropped the candy at the wrong address, so she turned the car around to return to the house.

When the boy got out of the car and ran to the front porch to retrieve the bag of candy, 43-year-old Michael Wen came out of his front door, pointing a gun at the boy’s head.

According to the arrest report, Wen allegedly shouted for the boy to “get the f*ck off my property.”

Wen was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and menacing. He was arraigned on Sunday morning, where he entered a not-guilty plea.

Wen’s next court hearing is scheduled for November 13.
