Marine Resigns Demanding Accountability

( The total incompetence of the Biden administration displayed in its botched withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan has angered the world – and it’s angered a lot of military personnel and veterans, too.

It was so bad that it compelled one U.S. Marine to publicly call out his supervisors for the horrible way in which the evacuation was executed – which saw Americans left stranded in the country after the U.S. military evacuated and left behind billions of dollars of military equipment. And now, that U.S. Marine has been relieved of his command for telling the truth.

Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller published a video, which you can see below, in which he revealed that he was likely sacrificing his very comfortable retirement to criticize his superiors. Scheller, however, said that he was willing to sacrifice the next three years in the Marine Corps, to tell the truth.

“I’m resigning my commission as a United States Marine, effective now,” he said, before adding that he will forfeit all retirements and entitlements and that he doesn’t want a “single dollar” from the military or even from the VA.

That’s a bold move, and a damning indictment on President Joe Biden’s horrible handling of this withdrawal.

When the video was released on Thursday, it quickly went viral.

In it, Scheller criticizes top military leadership and blamed them for the deaths of 11 Marines, a Navy corpsman, an Army soldier, and more than 160 Afghans.

Scheller said that he didn’t believe in staying in Afghanistan forever, but said that higher-ups should have thought in advance that it was a bad idea to evacuate the Bagram Airfield before evacuating everybody.

Good question…

After the video went viral, Scheller revealed that he was asked by his boss the next day what he was trying to accomplish, to which he responded that he wanted to ensure senior leaders in the Armed Forces were held accountable.

Scheller has not been available for comment to the press, but his father, Stuart Scheller Sr., told journalists that he will not talk to reporters until he has completed the formal exit from the Marines.

Something tells us he’s going to be quite vocal quite soon.
