(PatriotWise.com) — Last Monday, on the 22nd anniversary of 9/11, Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene suggested that US states “should consider seceding from the union” if the Biden administration does not stop the “invasion” at the southern border, the Washington Examiner reported.
In her post last week, Greene noted that towns from Texas to New York City are “drowning” due to Joe Biden’s “traitorous America last policies” and suggested that if the administration “refuses to stop the invasion of cartel led [sic] human and drug trafficking,” US states should secede.
Many on X criticized Greene for choosing to call for secession on the anniversary of 9/11, including California Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell.
In a post on X, Swalwell claimed that if the Georgia Republican Representative had been in Congress on 9/11, “she would have asked for a moment of silence for the hijackers.”
Anti-Trump Resistance influencer Moe Davis described Greene as “Traitor Trash Margie” and “lowlife scum working to destroy America.”
Earlier this month, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced a 5 percent budget cut for all city agencies to accommodate the costs of the influx of illegal immigrants shipped to the city. He warned that the cost to the city will be $12 billion in the next three years and said that while New York’s “compassion is limitless,” its “resources are not.”
In Chicago, Mayor Brandon Johnson told members of the city council that the surge in illegals will likely cost the city around $255 million by the end of the year.
This isn’t the first time the outspoken Republican Congresswoman has spoken out about secession. In the past, Greene has also advocated for a “national divorce” between Red and Blue states and called for a “cooling off period” to prevent “brainwashed people” from Blue states from moving to Red states.
