(PatriotWise.com)- Far-left House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s ultra-partisan House Select Committee which claims to be investigating the origins of the January 6 riot in Washington, D.C., is floundering. The committee has categorically failed to find any evidence that suggests former President Donald Trump incited a violent “insurrection” on Capitol Hill in 2021, and now it’s doubling down on its requests for major social media platforms to provide further information in a desperate attempt to find anything to help their cause.
On Thursday, the committee revealed that it had issued four subpoenas. One to Alphabet, the parent company of Google. Another was sent to Meta, the parent company of Facebook, and two more were sent to Twitter and Reddit. The move was announced by the committee in a post on Twitter.
“After inadequate responses to prior requests for information, the Select Committee is demanding records from Alphabet, Meta, Reddit, and Twitter,” it announced.

Doesn’t this reek of desperation? After they failed to find any evidence that suggests Republicans orchestrated an “insurrection,” they’re now using their committee as a way to obtain information that they would otherwise have no access to, in the hope of finding any kind of dirt on Republicans they want to punish.
Far0left Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson, the chairman of the committee, said that they are asking two key questions of the social media companies.
He is asking how the “spread of misinformation and violent extremism contributed to the violent attack on our democracy” as well as “what steps, if any, social media companies took to prevent their platforms from being breeding grounds for radicalizing people to violence.”
In other words, he wants social media companies to support his narrative that Republicans spread misinformation and create riots as a result, and then wants those social media companies to recommend new ways to silence Republicans and stop the spread of “misinformation.”
Do you see how this is a convenient and effective way of shutting down opposition under the guise of being moderates who care about protecting democracy?
Everybody sees through this cunning plot…right?
