Pelosi Responds To Replacement Rumors About Her
(PatriotWise.com) – In a recent interview on MSNBC, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi dismissed some Democrat House members calling for new leadership, arguing that Democrats should say whatever they need to say to win in November.
Earlier this month, Michigan Democrat Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin said in an interview that the Democrats “need a new generation” of leadership, not just in the House, but in the Senate and White House as well.
Pelosi appeared on “Andrea Mitchell Reports” last Tuesday where she responded to Slotkin’s remarks saying she wasn’t worried about some vulnerable House Democrats calling for new leadership if that’s what they need to say to win reelection.
“If that’s what you have to say to win, fine,” she said, adding that it would not stop the leadership from supporting their reelection.
While Pelosi agreed with Slotkin that the party does need “generational change,” at the same time, she argued that “there’s no substitute for experience.”
Pelosi explained that all that matters is winning because “democracy,” “our planet,” “our freedoms,” and “a woman’s right to choose” are all at stake in November.
This is what makes Nancy Pelosi such a great politician. As odious as she is, she never backs down. If only Republicans had a leader like Nancy Pelosi.
She makes it crystal clear in this interview that winning at all costs is the only thing that matters. Say what you have to say, just get elected. She doesn’t abandon any Democrats or hang them out to dry. Nope. She just tells them to do what it takes to win.
Another vulnerable Democrat facing a tough race, Virginia Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger, recently blasted the House leadership for stalling the bipartisan effort to pass legislation banning members of Congress from trading stocks.
In a statement, Spanberger called the move “a failure of House leadership” and argued that the party “needs new leaders in the halls of Capitol Hill.”
