Ramaswamy Floats Willingness To Pardon Hunter Biden

(PatriotWise.com) — Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said he would consider pardoning Hunter Biden if he were elected to the White House. The President’s son is under Congressional investigation for suspected influence-peddling and shady business practices, including calling on his father to help foreign business associates when he was Vice President.

Ramaswamy said he would shut down the FBI, “refurbish” the Department of Justice, and pardon anyone unjustly prosecuted by the Department for political reasons – including President Trump and some January 6 protestors. “Then I would be open to evaluating pardons for members of the Biden family in the interest of moving the nation forward,” he told the New York Post.

He justified the idea by saying he is seeking a united America and a “national renewal rather than a national divorce.”

The GOP candidate’s comments came days after Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the appointment of a Special Counsel to look into Hunter Biden’s affairs. US Attorney David Weiss will lead the Biden investigation, “as well as any other matters that arose or may arise from that investigation,” Garland said. Weiss previously said he could have brought charges against Hunter Biden, but as IRS and FBI whistleblower testimony alleged, unnamed forces in Washington, DC, blocked his path.

Hunter Biden is mired in several difficulties, particularly since a judge threw out a plea deal he reached with prosecutors on tax and gun possession charges. Weiss’ office announced in June that an agreement was reached that allowed Hunter Biden to avoid jail time by pleading guilty to two federal misdemeanor tax violations and to enter a pre-trial diversion program on a felony gun charge. US District Judge Maryellen Noreika refused to accept the deal and sent lawyers back to the drawing board.

In turn, prosecutors asked the judge to dismiss the tax charges in Delaware so new charges could be pursued in Washington, DC. Noreika agreed to the request on August 18, and investigations will start afresh.
