(PatriotWise.com)- Ronna McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, is facing a lot of heat for doing what most of the Republican Party has been asking about for quite some time…censuring Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger.
The RNC censured the two Republican legislators, both of whom sit on the ultra-partisan House Committee that claims to be investigating the origins of the January 6 riot. The committee is based on the contested claim that former President Donald Trump incited a “violent insurrection” on January 6, 2021, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to seat any Republican member of Congress who disagreed with the theory.
Instead of searching for the truth, the committee is looking for the answers it wants to find…and both Kinzinger and Cheney are helping them do it. In the process, they’re smearing millions of Republican voters and donors as supporters of an “insurrectionist.”
After censuring the two trouble-making legislators, McDaniel received a letter from former RNC chairman Marc Racicot, slamming her for making the call.
In the open letter, which was published by the Billings Gazette, Racicot said that he had never imagined that the RNC would “rebuke and desert” two members of the Congressional Republicans for “performing their assigned Congressional duties with honor and integrity.”
Oh, come on. Honor and integrity?
Integrity would mean examining evidence that proves Trump didn’t incite an insurrection, too. And that’s not something they are doing.
In a resolution earlier this month, Kinzinger and Cheney were formally censured for engaging in the “persecution of ordinary citizens engaged in legitimate political discourse.”
Racicot had nothing to say about that, though. The former RNC chairman, who served in the role between 2001 and 2003, claimed that the work being done by the two Republican members of Congress was to “protect our democracy and way of life.”
In other words, the former chair of the RNC has bought totally into the conspiracy theories pushed by the DNC.
First it was Russiagate. Now it’s Insurrectiongate.
What else can they throw at Trump next?
