(PatriotWise.com)- Last week, the New York Times, NBC News, and The Washington Post all published a false story about former personal attorney to President Donald Trump and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. The story claimed that Giuliani was warned by the FBI that he was a target of a disinformation campaign from Russia – and all three outlets were soon forced to retract the story.
Because it was false.
The three left-wing media outlets were even the focus of a CNN report, which lauded their inaccuracies.
Imagine being taunted by CNN for spreading fake news?
The stories were published after Giuliani’s Manhattan apartment was raided by the FBI in connection with an ongoing investigation into where he violated the law while allegedly lobbying on behalf of Ukrainian officials back in 2019. The raid was slammed by the former NYC mayor’s son, Andrew Giuliani, as an effort by President Joe Biden to distract from his son Hunter Biden’s dealings in Ukraine and China.
Giuliani insisted that the Post and Times should “reveal their sources who lied and targeted an American citizen.
On a Saturday, the Washington Post added this correction to their defamatory story about me. The Washington Post and the NYT must reveal their sources who lied and targeted an American Citizen. #msnbc , #cnn forgot to mention the corrections today. #fakenews #badpeople pic.twitter.com/NhBX7EwQdk

And the media outlets have received a deluge of criticism for their slapdash and irresponsible reporting.
“Some pretty big Ls here by NBC News, WaPo, and the NYT,” Washington Examiner reporter Jerry Dunleavy wrote.

“interesting how ***3*** media organizations made such major f*ck ups in the exact same way. almost like their definition of fact checking is to see if everyone else is reporting the same garbage,” another user added.

Federalist senior editor Mollie Hemingway also added that the outlets should consider burning their sources rather than just retracting.
On heels of years of peddling fake and dangerous Russia collusion hoax with anon sources,@nakashimae , @shaneharris and @thamburger just ran with another intel operation against Guiliani, using anon sources. Had to retract explosive claim today. Shouldn't they burn sources?

Question is…will this backlash be enough to stop media outlets from pushing fake news?
