Sarah Huckabee Sanders Sidesteps 2024 Questions

(PatriotWise.com) – Despite questions from the press, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has refused to answer whether or not she will endorse former President Donald Trump in a 2024 presidential run.

Sanders recently sat down with Fox News Sunday host Shannon Bream to discuss her election as first female governor of Arkansas. Bream asked Sanders for an answer regarding who she will endorse in 2024. She questioned Sanders about her relationship with Trump, citing information from her website to back up the questions.

For instance, Sanders’s site references her position as the White House Press Secretary during the Trump administration, and refers to her as a “trusted confidante” of the former president. Bream wanted to know whether Sanders and Trump had communicated about a 2024 run.

When Sanders praised Trump, but declined to endorse him, Bream asked again–and questioned whether Sanders had a timeline for making this decision.

However, Sanders remained firm, stating that 2024 isn’t her focus right now. Instead, she’s putting her energy into serving the state of Arkansas and doing the work that needs to be done right now.

Again, Bream attempted to engage Sanders on her plans for her political future. She cited a 2021 New York Magazine write-up that posed the idea of Sanders running for Vice President, either alongside Florida Governor and Republican favorite Ron DeSantis, or on a ticket with Trump.

Bream asked whether Sanders was feeling “the pressure of future speculation” since her swearing-in. Sanders repeated that she’s focused on what she set out to do for Arkansas as governor.

Despite the pressure to deliver an answer about 2024, Sanders remained steady and focused–as she was known to do as White House Press Secretary.

Sanders said, “I feel the pressure of delivering this legislative session. [T]he only thing that [we are] focused on is delivering on what we laid out to do.”
