(PatriotWise.com) — Senator Ted Cruz has called for the House to launch an impeachment investigation against President Joe Biden. He urges that if the bribery scheme allegations detailed in the FBI’s FD-1023 document involving Biden, his son Hunter, and a Ukrainian energy official are confirmed, Biden should face prosecution and potential imprisonment, per his discussion with Newsmax.
Cruz stated on Newsmax’s “Eric Bolling The Balance” that he had previously recommended impeachment for Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Attorney General Merrick Garland. He indicated that Biden’s impeachment would hinge on the credibility of the evidence presented.
Recently, an FBI form released by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, reported that a confidential human source revealed an alleged $10 million deal coordinated by Biden during his vice-presidency, his son, and Mykola Zlochevsky, CEO of energy conglomerate Burisma. This payment, split between the Bidens, allegedly influenced policy decisions, including removing Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who was probing Burisma for tax evasion, corruption, and money laundering.
Cruz expressed that if the FD-1023 allegations remain unconfirmed, Biden could be charged with soliciting and accepting a large-scale bribe from a foreign individual in return for official favors, thus justifying impeachment.
Cruz underlined that the House must investigate these allegations and, if found true, should lead to Biden’s impeachment, prosecution, and possible imprisonment. He raised concerns over mounting evidence suggesting Biden’s direct involvement in official corruption.
In addition, Cruz observed that the White House’s stance on Biden’s involvement with his son’s overseas business ventures has “significantly altered.”
The White House repeatedly insisted that Biden had never discussed business dealings with Hunter, but evidence contradicting these claims is surfacing. Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s ex-business associate, is expected to testify to the House that President Biden discussed these matters over two dozen times.
Cruz further critiqued a recent statement from press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, indicating a shift in narrative from Biden never discussing business deals with Hunter to Biden not being in business with Hunter. Cruz suggested that this shift is an attempt to distance Biden from allegations of discussing corrupt overseas business transactions with Hunter, notably as the House is slated to receive testimonies this week indicating the contrary.
