(PatriotWise.com) — Fox News Host Tucker Carlson has slammed President Biden’s State of the Union address and said the American people do not understand what he is saying. In his speech, Biden went off-script when speaking about the Chinese spy balloon shot down over the Eastern Seaboard in early February. He said the military protected the American homeland as expected, but then veered from the script and declared that democracy was on the rise and autocracy was failing. The President then shouted “name me a world leader who would trade places with Xi Jinping. Name me one. Name me one.” Carlson called the President’s remarks “a steaming pile of word puree” that nobody understands.
The Fox host went on to question Biden’s cognitive ability and mocked his demeanor on the Congress platform. “The president’s mental condition is either scary and depressing, deeply alarming or absolutely hilarious depending on your mood,” he said. “We have no idea what any of that means, any more than Xi Jinping does,” he added.
Biden’s remarks were repeated during an interview with PBS News Hour when he said that the Chinese leader has “enormous problems” including a failing economy. “Can you think of any other world leader who’d trade places with Xi Jinping? I can’t think of one,” Biden said.
Beijing responded by stating that the President’s words were extremely irresponsible and repeated its claim that the so-called spy balloon was a meteorological device. “The international community can see very clearly what the world’s biggest country of espionage, monitoring and surveillance is,” a Chinese spokeswoman said.
Diplomacy between the US and China has taken a nosedive in recent weeks. Secretary of State Antony Blinken was due to leave for Beijing only hours before the balloon controversy broke, but canceled the trip at the last minute. He has however said it will be rescheduled. China refused a phone call between the two countries following the incident and accused the US of unnecessary aggression.
