U.S. Senators Demand Investigation Into Hunter Biden’s Funding Of Human Trafficking

(PatriotWise.com)- While expressing exasperation over the length of time it has taken for federal prosecutors to wrap up their investigation into President Joe Biden’s son and answer questions from Congress, two senior Republican senators have demanded that the Justice Department investigate evidence that Hunter Biden paid money to a “prostitution or human trafficking ring” tied to Russia. The senators believe that the ring is connected to Russia.

What exactly is the Justice Department seeking to keep secret from Congress and the general public of the United States? In a scathing letter that was made public on Friday, Senators Charles Grassley of Iowa and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin asked Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Chris Wray, and U.S. Attorney for Delaware David Weiss the aforementioned questions.

According to another statement by the senators, these discoveries of possibly illegal activity must be appropriately probed by law enforcement entities according to the highest ethical standards. Due to the continuous refusal of agencies to provide Congress with answers to its legitimate oversight questions, the senators have significant concerns about the DOJ’s examination of this subject and the current criminal prosecution against Hunter Biden.

The senators stated that among their concerns were questions regarding ethical conflicts of interest with some of the law enforcement officials involved in investigating or supervising the Hunter Biden probe. The senators initiated this investigation, which began in late 2018 and focuses on issues such as money laundering, unpaid taxes, and influence peddling.

They told Garland in the new letter dated Thursday that on May 9, 2022, they wrote to U.S. Attorney (USA) David Weiss concerning their concerns about conflicts of interest infecting the criminal investigation. “We are concerned that these conflicts of interest will affect the outcome of the criminal investigation,” the letter said.

In that letter, they reiterated their concerns about Deputy Assistant Attorney General Nicholas McQuaid’s conflicts with the Hunter Biden criminal case in light of his prior working relationship with Hunter Biden’s criminal defense attorney. They also asked USA Weiss whether anyone in his office is recused from the matter in light of the Biden family’s connections in Delaware. To this day, the administration of President Joe Biden has declined to answer the question of whether there have been any recusals from the criminal case involving Hunter Biden due to conflicts of interest or other reasons.
