UFO “Search” Suddenly Squashed by Government

(PatriotWise.com) — On Friday, officials in both the US and Canada last week suspended operations to recover debris from the unknown aerial objects shot down over Alaska, the Yukon Territory, and Lake Huron earlier this month, the Washington Post reported.

US Northern Command recommended suspending the search for debris in Alaska and Lake Huron after US troops, federal agencies, and Canadian officials reported finding “no debris from airborne objects.” Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin agreed with the decision to call off the search.

The areas had been searched using aerial imagery sensors and subsurface scans of Lake Huron and the waters off Deadhorse, Alaska.

In a subsequent statement, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) announced that it was suspending its search in the Yukon Territory after finding no debris. The RCMP said the snowfall that occurred after the object was shot down on February 11 had decreased the likelihood that debris would be found. Additionally, the RCMP said that the object in question is not believed to be something that “justifies extraordinary search efforts.”

It was reported last week that the object shot down over the Yukon was likely a private balloon from a group of balloon enthusiasts in northern Illinois.

Pentagon officials said last week that the three objects shot down were unlikely to have come from China, the Post reported. Instead, they were possibly airborne crafts from either private companies, research institutions, or hobbyists.

Given that, the recovery efforts for the objects shot down over Lake Huron and Alaska were not as robust as those for the recovery of the Chinese spy balloon shot down off the coast of South Carolina on February 4.

Last Friday, the Pentagon announced that search operations off the South Carolina coast had concluded. The Navy recovered parts of the balloon and its structure and the recovered debris was sent to the FBI lab in Quantico for “counterintelligence exploitation.”
