Whoopi Goldberg Makes Outrageous Holocaust Remarks

(PatriotWise.com) – “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg found herself in hot water again last week after she repeated the same kind of bigoted remarks about the Holocaust that got her in hot water in January last year.

In an interview in the UK Sunday Times, Goldberg repeated her claims that the Holocaust had nothing to do with race because the Jews are not a race.

Goldberg told Janice Turner of the Sunday Times that the Nazis didn’t start by “killing racial.” Instead, “they were killing physical.” Goldberg claimed the Nazis first targeted the people “they considered to be mentally defective”

When Turner noted that the Nazis viewed the Jewish people as a race, Goldberg agreed but argued that was just what “the oppressor” said. “Why are you believing them,” Goldberg added.

Attempting to justify her claim, Goldberg asserted that it is impossible to pick a Jew out on the street just by looking at them, adding “You could find me. You couldn’t find them.”

Goldberg also said a friend told her that because there isn’t a “box on the census for the Jewish race,” that means Jews are “probably not a race.”

The last time Whoopi claimed the Holocaust wasn’t about race, ABC News hit her with a 2-day suspension and she was forced to issue an on-air apology.

In January 2022, Goldberg claimed during “The View” that the Holocaust was about “man’s inhumanity to man” and not about race. She claimed that both the Nazis and the Jews are “white groups of people.”

Goldberg subsequently released a statement “apologizing” for saying the Holocaust had nothing to do with race.

The following day, Whoopie opened “The View” by offering a groveling apology and capped it off by inviting the head of the Anti-Defamation League on the show to explain why her comments were wrong.

Whoopie recapped her comments from her statement and explained that now she understands that the Holocaust was about race “because Hitler and the Nazis considered Jews to be an inferior race.”

She told the audience that “words matter” and she regretted her remarks and “I stand corrected.” Then she added, “And I stand with the Jewish people.”
