Woman Charged For Using Biological Weapon Against Donald Trump

(PatriotWise.com) – The French Canadian woman who sent letters containing homemade ricin to then-President Donald Trump and eight Texas law enforcement officials in 2020 last week pleaded guilty in a Washington D.C. federal court.

Pascale Cecile Veronique Ferrier, a dual citizen of Canada and France, sent the ricin-filled letters in September 2020.

In the plea agreement, Ferrier admitted to making the ricin in her Quebec home and placing the poison into letters addressed to Trump and the Texas officials. In the letters, Ferrier referenced a “special gift,” and wrote that if the “gift” doesn’t work, she would “find a better recipe for another poison.

In several of the letters, Ferrier also threatened that she “might use my un when I will be able to come.”

In the letter she sent to the White House, Ferrier told then-President Trump that he ruined the United States and led the country “to disaster.” She claimed to have American cousins and didn’t what Trump to be the president for another four years. Ferrier demanded Trump “give up and remove your application for this election!”

According to the plea agreement, Ferrier, who had been detained in Texas for several weeks in 2019, chose to send ricin-filled letters to the law enforcement officials she believed were involved in her detention.

Ferrier was later arrested when she attempted to cross from Canada into the United States. At the time she was arrested, Ferrier had a loaded firearm, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, along with several other weapons, according to the Justice Department.

Ferrier told border officials that she was wanted by the FBI for sending the poisoned letters, according to the plea agreement.

In a statement from the Department of Justice, US Attorney Alamdar Hamdani said while Ferrier’s attempts to “poison numerous public officials” failed, her actions “created fear and stress for many of these dedicated public servants,” CNN reported.

If the court accepts the plea, Ferrier faces more than 21 years in prison when she is sentenced on April 26.
