(PatriotWise.com) — Donald Trump’s Democratic opponent in the 2016 Presidential race was seen dining at a lavish establishment in Manhattan, just blocks from where Donald Trump was charged with 34 felony indictments. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was an honorary guest at the luxurious, private Lotos Club days after Trump pleaded not guilty to charges that he maintains are politically motivated.
Donald Trump is the first US President ever to face criminal charges. The case centers around payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels, who alleged she had an affair with the former President. He denied any infidelity and said he had broken no laws. He furthermore insists that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg – a Democrat – is using the legal system to punish political opponents and prevent him from re-entering the White House in 2024.
The DA charged him with falsifying business records. The indictment contends that Trump “repeatedly and fraudulently falsified New York business records to conceal criminal conduct that hid damaging information from the voting public during the 2016 presidential election.”
In a speech following his court appearance, he said he never thought anything like this could happen in America and it was behavior that could be expected in the Soviet Union. “Our justice system has become lawless. They’re using it now, in addition to everything else, to win elections,” he said.
Over the Easter weekend, Trump took to social media to sarcastically wish a happy Easter to the “radical left Democrats, socialists, Marxists, and communists who are killing our nation.” He also warned that the world was on the precipice of World War III and this was attributable to the incompetence of the Biden administration which he described as the worst in American history.
The former President received a warm welcome when he took a break from his legal battles to attend an Ultimate Fighting Champion martial arts contest in Miami on April 8th. The crowd erupted with cheers as he took his front-row seat with Mike Tyson and Dana White.
