Pattern of Escalating Abuse Uncovered
Continued investigation revealed an ongoing pattern of abuse. “Through the course of the investigation, it was learned Rogers and Black had physically abused their son, on two reported occasions, by tasing him as a form of discipline,” according to the Springfield Police Department.
Authorities rearrested the couple on October 29 after new evidence came to light. Detailing the severity of the situation, charges against Rogers now include Assault II x5, Criminal Mistreatment I x5, Unlawful Use of a Weapon x7, and Menacing x7.
