At Least 4 Kids Were Assaulted by a Cruise Ship Youth Counselor

(PatriotWise.com) — A Celebrity Cruises youth center worker admitted to the FBI that he molested multiple children after he was arrested for molesting a 6-year-old girl during a weeklong cruise from Florida to the Caribbean last month, the Miami Herald reported.

According to a criminal affidavit filed with the Southern District of Florida, 35-year-old Cris John Pentinio Castor worked as a youth counselor on the cruise ship Silhouette’s “Camp at Sea” Youth Center that set sail from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale on November 20.

The father of a 6-year-old girl filed a complaint with the manager of the Youth Center on November 27 after his daughter told him and his wife that Castor molested her while she was playing a video game.

According to the affidavit from FBI Special Agent M. Alexandra Montilla, the girl told her parents that Castor touched her “private parts.”

When the ship returned to Port Everglades on November 30, the girl told a forensic investigator that Castor reached beneath her clothes and touched her “where the pee comes from.”

Surveillance footage from the ship confirmed the girl’s account, according to federal prosecutors.

The footage showed Castor and the girl seated beside each other. While the footage was filmed from the back and did not capture the physical contact, it was consistent with the statement from the child, showing Castor’s hand reaching into her lap.

After his arrest, Castor admitted in his recorded interview that he knowingly touched the child. He also revealed that he had engaged in inappropriate touching with several other children in his care while attempting to hide his actions from the surveillance cameras, according to Montilla’s affidavit.

Castor, who is a citizen of the Philippines, was charged with abusive molestation of a minor under 12 and was placed in custody at the Paul Rein Detention Facility without bond on a US Marshalls and immigration hold, pending trial.
